P250 Scholarship Application

    History of the Scholarship:

The P-250 Endowed Scholarship was created to recognize outstanding student contributions in the areas of leadership and service to the College and the Greater Albion Community. A group of Albion College students came together during the 1971 academic year and collected money to establish an endowed fund to honor former Albion College President Bernard T. Lomas. Those students raised more than $250,000 to create the Bernard T. Lomas Project P-250 Endowed Scholarship. The number 250 comes directly from the $250,000 raised in endowment funds.

    Eligibility:

To be eligible, students must be:

    • Currently enrolled at Albion College
    • A rising junior or senior (defined as having completed 14 academic units by the end of the 2025-26 academic year)
    • **Seniors who are walking at commencement but returning for an additional semester(s) may apply.
    • Be in good standing with the College (not on academic or social probation)

*It is anticipated that recipients of the Project 250 Endowed Scholarship for 2026-27 will receive an increase in financial aid between $2,000 - $3,000 per recipient. Please note that applicants who receive any other Albion College Financial Aid Assistance and are selected as a P-250 Scholarship recipient, may not be eligible for additional aid based on Department of Education financial aid awarding guidelines.

    Selection:

The Student Awards Selection Committee, comprised of invested Albion College community members, will review applications. Award recipients will represent a wide variety of campus involvement and serve as role models for future graduating classes. The award is sponsored and administered by the Albion College's Office of Student Engagement & Activities. Recipients will be announced at the annual Student Leadership Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 17 at 5:30 PM in Norris 101.

Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2026.

Please direct any questions you have to Kevin Intihar, Director of Student Engagement and Activities, kintihar@albion.edu.
