P250 Scholarship Application for 2024-2025

    History of the Scholarship:

The P-250 Endowed Scholarship was created to recognize outstanding student contributions in the areas of leadership and service to the College and the Greater Albion Community. A group of Albion College students came together during the 1971 academic year and collected money to establish an endowed fund to honor former Albion College President Bernard T. Lomas. Those students raised more than $250,000 to create the Bernard T. Lomas Project P-250 Endowed Scholarship. The number 250 comes directly from the $250,000 raised in endowment funds.

    Eligibility:

To be eligible, students must be currently enrolled at Albion College and be a rising Junior or Senior, and have obtained Junior class status, defined as completing 14 academic units by the end of the 2023-24 academic year. Seniors who are walking at commencement but returning for an additional semester(s) may apply.

It is anticipated that the Project 250 Endowed Scholarship for 2024-25 will be between $10,000-$12,000 per recipient. Because of this scholarship’s value, it may impact your financial aid eligibility. Applicants need to understand that if they receive any other Albion College Financial Aid Assistance, and are selected as a P-250 Scholarship recipient, they may not be eligible for additional aid based on Department of Education financial aid awarding guidelines. We encourage applicants to meet with the Financial Aid Office prior to applying for the scholarship to review how their current financial aid could be affected if awarded this scholarship.
